摘要

In paper results of the experimental researches cooling of rings from steel with a water-air mix-ture, which were obtained at the experimental installation of the experimental stand of OJSC «VNIIMT». The investigations were carried out for a wide range of changes in the parameters of the water-air mixture, which made it possible to study the dependence of the thermal state of rings of different thicknesses on the parameters of the cooling regime. Experimental thermal hardening with a water-air mixture of bearing rings made of 52100 (EN1.3505) steel establishes the conditions under which the level of mechanical properties and structure of the metal required by the «Technical Condition» is reached. The technology of water and air cooling by its organization, the quality of the final product and environmental indicators is able to replace the traditional for bearing rings technology of bulk hardening in the oil tank.
